LA LOI DU NOMBRE – Exposition collective / Galerie Simon Blais
Dans le but de provoquer une lecture inédite du travail de ses artistes, la Galerie Simon Blais propose d’explorer la diversité et la richesse de leurs pratiques dans le cadre de l’exposition La loi du nombre. La galerie sera alors « envahie » d’œuvres polyptyques ou de projets présentant une accumulation de contenus variés, conçus pour la plupart spécialement pour l’occasion. Œuvres sérielles, séquences, juxtapositions formelles et mises en relation conceptuelles s’agenceront sur les murs de la galerie selon une logique propre à chaque créateur. Avec La loi du nombre, la Galerie Simon Blais adresse à ses artistes, pour la troisième fois de son histoire, une invitation à créer une œuvre à partir d’un thème d’exploration pré-établi. Les artistes qui ont répondu à l’appel sont :

In order to prompt new interpretations of the work of its artists, Galerie Simon Blais is offering an opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of their practices by mounting the exhibition La loi du nombre. The gallery will therefore see itself “taken over” by polyptychs and other works, for the most part created especially for this occasion, featuring accumulations of different content. Works comprising series, sequences, formal juxtapositions and conceptual relationships will be arranged on the gallery’s walls in keeping with the specific practices of each artist. La loi du nombre is the third exhibition in its history for which Galerie Simon Blais has asked its artists to create a work investigating a pre-established theme.
